in general, the stricter competition (eg. IPF) the stricter the rules, as oppose to those looser federations (eg. WPO). What I mean by this is that this angle is generally allowed if it&#039;s not too big. But judge is to decide about that. I guess a smart judge would sanction any angle beyond 10 degrees.</description>

I recently competed at a bench press competition where the guy who came second in the competition lifted 140kg. This was on his second lift but on the upward movement of the lift he got to his sticking point and the bar went at an angle before he could push it out to lock out. What i mean by this is that one end of the bar moved towards his lower body as the other moved towards his head. Would this be classed as a bad lift and not be counted?</description>
